Business Review

Why Organic Cotton?

Did you know that manufacturers use insecticides and pesticides to grow and farm conventional cotton?  In fact, these same chemicals are highly toxic and many of them are probable carcinogens.  I bet you might think twice if you knew that two-thirds of a pound of pesticides were used to grow the cotton necessary to make just one pair of jeans.  Not organic cotton…simply 100% natural.

Why Organic Skincare?

Did you know that more than one-third of all personal care products contain at least one ingredient linked to cancer?  Currently, there are over 1,000 chemicals that are banned from use in Europe, but the U.S. has only banned 9!  Not scary enough?  Babies’ delicate skin is considerably more permeable than adult skin so they could be absorbing up to three times the amount of toxins than an adult using the same application would absorb.  Not organic skincare…simply 100% natural.

Why Organic Mattresses?

Did you know that conventional mattresses are filled with many synthetic materials including polyurethane foam (made from chemicals that are known carcinogens) and other toxic chemicals?  One such chemical, polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), has been found to be so toxic, that its use is being phased out in Europe.  These materials are constantly breaking down and releasing chemicals that we breathe in while we rest.  Not organic mattresses…simply 100% natural.

Why Eco-Friendly Furniture?

Did you know that in buying new hardwood furniture you are contributing to the problem of tropical deforestation?  Opting to buy eco-friendly furniture means the furniture is made using recycled, reclaimed, or sustainable products.
