Danielle's Blog

My name is Danielle, and I am a LaGrange, Kinston, Goldsboro native.  I grew up in LaGrange, left and went to college in Florida where met my future husband (who was from Kinston of all places).  We lived on the outskirts of Kinston (Hugo) for our first few married years, then bought our home in LaGrange and started our family.  That was seven years ago.  We now have a 5 year old son, and a soon-to-be 3 year old daughter. 

I have had the privilege of being an at-home mom (I didn't add the "stay" part, because, well, that would be a lie!) since they were born.  I found out about Macaroni Kid in April of 2010 and I absolutely fell in love with the whole idea!  Like I said, I was raised right here in this area.  I grew up thinking there was nothing going on in this area.  I guess that's one of the reasons I love what I do so much.  I know you all are looking fun and enriching activities to be involved in, and I also know that although this area is "Small Town USA" there are those organizations in our communities that are striving to give you what you want.  They want to enrich our communities by putting on special events, programs, and other fun activities to not only educate and entertain, but also to help build a sense of community.  I just want to be the bridge that brings us together, and to (of course) have a great time in the process!
